NFL FREE PLAY: CINCINNATI BENGALS at OAKLAND RAIDERS (11/22)
PRO FOOTBALL — November 22
CINCINNATI at OAKLAND
(Bengals -9, Total 36.5) — We won’t insult your intelligence by telling you there’s a lot of good things to say about Oakland. The Raiders have two touchdown passes, have converted 27% of their third downs, and saw JaMarcus Russell (47%, 5.2 yards an attempt) benched again last week. The Bengals appear to be in the driver’s seat in the AFC North. However, this is a natural downer for them, having coming off games with the Ravens and Steelers the last two weeks. Now they have to go without Cedric Benson, who was dynamic (859 yards) in this offense. Bernard Scott, who had more yards last week on a kickoff return (96) than he’s had running from scrimmage this year (95). Chris Henry, who was a valuable third wide receiver, is out too. Laying double digits isn’t something we necessarily want to do, as Oakland’s defense often plays with some enthusiasm.
