(Butler -1) — The Gophers are going through some rocky times with the suspension of three players, but those guys were not essential, and in fact, two of them – freshman Royce White and junior college transfer Trevor Mbakwe – have never even taken the court for the team. Not to worry, one of Tubby Smith’s frosh, swingman Rodney Williams, is scoring plenty (15 ppg). We understand that Butler, like Minnesota, brings all its major contributors back, but the Bulldogs have to start shooting better; they were just 28% in a recent win over Evansville. That won’t do against this improved Gopher crew. Keep in mind that Butler has lost five of its last six games against Top 25 teams.
